Team Tryouts

To be considered for our team, athletes must attend one of our team tryouts. Team tryouts will allow us to assess skill level, maturity, and camaraderie to ensure a good fit for the team.
During team tryouts, athletes must demonstrate:
Respect for peers
Respect for gym rules and etiquette
Listening to coaches and following directions
Maturity
They must also demonstrate the following achievements (these will all be practiced prior to testing):
1 full ring toss traverse
5' lache bar to bar
Initiating and generating swing momentum from both a static bar and trapeze bar
One minute plank hold from forearms
1 strict pullup
10 pushups from toes
5x bouncy steps
4x slanted steps (no cat grabs)
Single arm dead hang for 15 seconds on each arm
Two arm dead hang for 60 seconds
1 rope climb using j-hook method
8' warped wall up and over
Successful run through a coaches choice obstacle course that will combine upper and lower body strength and agility. Athlete will get three attempts to complete the course.
